The roots of Aquarius are based upon various mythologies.

On the one hand he is the "caudate",
the founder of Attica,
a figure similar to that of Poseidon.

On the other hand, he is Aquarius,
and - in my opinion - lovely as well as picturesque.

"For out of the water you were taken - and to the water you shall return".

The element water produces a cycle:
invisibly ascending, condensing to clouds,
cascading as rain, pouring into jugs and served,
flowing back into the rivers, the sea...
